Bible Study Groups
Sunday Morning Education Hour
This lay-led class meets in the church library where the class reads and discusses various topics of interest. Early in 2008
they studied Rick Warren's book The Purpose Driven Life. Upon completion of that book the class began The Five Love Languages,
by Gary Chapman. Currently, the class is reading and discussing Gary Chapman's newest book, The Four Seasons of Marriage.
You can bring your coffee with you to this class.

Women of Faith
This group used the Women of Faith study series with each study lasting 6 to 8 weeks. The currently study is titled Giving God
Your All. During the winter this group of 4 to 5 meets at June Cooper's home, where there is always an open chair waiting for
you. In the summer they meet for about an hour on a weekday morning, adjusting the day to meet the participants' scheudles.
Please consider joining. Amy Walquist 631-0353

Early Bird
In 2008 the Early Birds finished reading through the entire Bible, using Kathleen Johnson's Whole Bible, Whole Life study. A
13-week study on Revelation followed. The group began 2009 with a study on Angels. Currently seven people are involved
but there is always room for more. Each session is self-contained so joining now does not mean there is "catching up" to do.

Women's Study
About 7-8 ladies meet every other Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the church library for this study. In 2008 they used the Women
of Faith study series called God at Your Wit's End by Marilyn Meberg. Starting in late January 2009 they will be reading Having
a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver. There is a study guide with this book, so one chapter at time will be read
and then discussed at the Wednesday meeting. This study time together is also used as a time to offer support and encouragement
to one another.

Lectionary Study
This group looks at the scripture readings for the upcoming Sunday (and Thursday in the summertime) worship services. Learning
about the background settings for each lesson gives a deeper meaning to the upcoming worship service. The group numbers 4 to
6 and meets in the back room of the K-Bob.

Ruth Circle
The Ruth Circle met 10 times this last year at our various homes and sometimes in the church. We have membership of twelve active
women. In 2008 we studied the Bible Study from the Lutheran Woman Today book at out meetings.
At our Christmas Potluck,
we enjoyed our new Pastor Mike Soppeland leading the Bible Study. We were blessed to have former members of our circle join
us.
During 2008 this group again supported our missionary Michael Lundell's work in Romania; J.C. Ministries (Angels with Dented
Halos, Inc.) a prison ministry in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for both inmates and guards; LAMP (Lutheran Association of Missionaries
and Pilots), which proclaims the Savior's message to men, women and children of the far North; the Princeton Food Shelf; the Princeton
Kinship Mentor program; and the Christmas Shoe Box program. We also completed 50 school kits to send overseas.
