Sunday School is offered for children age 3 through grade 5 at 9:15 am on Sundays. Middle School Forum (grades 6-8) also meets at this time.
Adult Forum & High School Forum (grades 9 – 12) provides opportunities to discuss faith and life issues.
Confirmation for 7th, 8th and 9th gradersinclude Wednesday evening classes, independent learning projects, retreats, and a mentoring program.
Vacation Bible School is offered for children every summer.
Bible Study groups and Women’s Circles meet throughout the week.
Youth & Family activities happen throughout the year and include trips, servant events and opportunities to learn and grow together across generations.
At Immanuel we talk about "Spiritual Gifts." These are all the ways God equips us to serve in his world and church. Here is a sample of the ways we serve.
Parish Health and Visitation. Immanuel has a staff Parish Nurse, who is committed to the healing mission of the church, and is willing to assist people in their holistic health journey.
BeFrienders Ministry equips lay pastors to journey with individuals who have significant health and life issues.
Music Ministry. Immanuel is gifted with many fine musicians, but don’t feel like you need to be a "pro" to take part. All musical groups welcome members of all abilities.
The Celebrations Band helps to plan and lead the Celebrations service.
Several musical groups offer music at worship, including the Senior Choir, Handbell Choir, Sunday School classes and small ensembles.
Short Term Service Opportunities. Since service in the congregation and the community is a vital part of discipleship we offer a variety of short term opportunities to service. These are often times for families to serve together.
Mission partners include: Princeton Pantry, Lutheran Social Services, East Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity, Rum River Interfaith Caregivers, and Camp Onomia. The German Dinner in September and the Craft and Bake Sale in November are two occasions when we work as a congregation to support mission.
