Immanuel offers regular Sunday morning classes for all children beginning with 3 year olds. Classes meet From September – early May during the education hour.
We are currently using the Akaloo curriculum which aims to build a life long faith formation for children, youth and adults - the entire congregation! The age groups come together for music at the beginning of education hour and then get involved in age-based classroom activities.
We encourage youth to attend and bring their friends.
We host Wednesday evening Confirmation classes for 7th , 8th and 9th graders. Those confirmation years consist of one-on-one and group mentoring, regular worship attendance, an independent learning project and classroom work.
We have moved from looking at Confirmation as a rite, to understanding that it is a lifelong learning process. †
